The Rerstaurant "Betto e Mary" ("R" upper-left on the map, located on Via dei Savorgnan) is one of the best and cheapest tavern in Rome. Here you can eat tipycal roman cuisine. This tavern is recomended by "Gambero Rosso 2004"guide, the most important italian cooking giude. The average cost for a typical Italian meal including a first course, a main course and a side dish (drinks are not included) is about 20-25 euro.
