
You
can have a quick and interesting tour of Rome by Google Earth free software
and our free add-in for Google Earth. You can easily see roman monuments satellite
images and check the exact position of Casa Vincenzo.
All you have to do is:
1. Download the free version software Google Earth from http://earth.google.com/
2. Install the downloaded software on your personal computer
3. Right mouse click above the following link Casavincenzo.kmz and choose to "save as..." to save the file on your personal computer. Important: Sometimes it may happen that the downloaded file has the wrong name Casavincenzo.zip instead Casavincenzo.kmz. If so, you have to rename the saved file from Casavincenzo.zip to CasaVincenzo.kmz.
4. Launch Google Earth. In Google Earth menu bar choose File>Open... and select the file Casavincenzo.kmz you have downloaded on your pc.
You'll
be directed on a satellite view of Rome, in wich you can see some of the more
important roman monuments
,
and the exact location of Casa Vincenzo
.
If the 4th step don't bring you to a satellite view of Rome, do the following. In Google Earth, on the left side of the screen you'll see a box named "Places" containing some directories and some locations names. Browse and find the "Temporary Places" directory (this directory is below all others directory contained in the "Places" box). Inside "Temporary Places" there is "Casavincenzo.kmz", double click on it. If you don't find the Casavincenzo.kmz file inside "Temporary Places" directory, go to step 3 again.
You can use Google Earth Software to zoom on the monument you desire (all the photos in this page are produced by Google Earth software).
